About ODPU
A union of sons and daughters of Oponda-Isin committed to transforming their hometown through structured leadership, infrastructure, and youth empowerment.
“ODPU is a dignified, serious institution — built like a community that has always known its worth and is finally organized enough to prove it.”
The Oponda-Isin Descendants Progressive Union (ODPU) was established as the primary public-facing and organizational body serving both home community members in Kwara State, Nigeria, and diaspora members worldwide.
Recognizing the need for a cohesive, forward-looking institution, ODPU was incorporated on October 31, 2025 (RC 8964034). It acts as the central hub for development, advocacy, and community welfare, integrating traditional authority with contemporary best practices.
